Intuitive Movement with the Light of the Horses


Discover the profound connection and mutual understanding of intuition, partnership and movement from the ground with your horse friend.

This exciting 1 day clinic is designed to enhance and deepen the partnership between you and your equine friends in a respectful, reciprocal, horse-centered way. We focus exclusively on movement from the ground—allowing both new and seasoned horse stewards to deepen their bonds and devolope a feel through non-verbal communication and gentle guidance.

Here are some enriching topics we will explore together:

  • Harmonizing with your horse to guide their movements clearly, thoughtfully and with fairness

  • Cultivating Listening and a response to gentle cues, prioritizing the horse's comfort and willingness, the YES

  • Learning the language of equine body signals, animal body energetics, communicating as one of the herd

  • Engaging the horse's mind for focus and a more attentive and reciprocal interaction

  • Building a foundation on the ground that could gracefully translates into riding - equitation from the ground

This clinic provides invaluable insights for working with any horse, regardless of their experience level, fostering a relationship marked by listening, lightness and nuanced communication. It's also an excellent opportunity for a knowing the ropes with your partner as you move towards other horizons.

Foundations in Horse Stewardship at Horse & Heart Ranch


Step into the world of relational horse care with presence, curiosity, and respect.

Our Care Clinic is a welcoming, hands-on introduction to the foundational care and rhythms of life with horses. Held on the last Saturday of each month, this clinic is designed for those who feel called to connect, contribute, and learn the art of caretaking with grounded awareness, gentle connection and relational intention.

Whether you're new to horses or dreaming of becoming a regular volunteer, this is your opportunity to become familiar with the land, the herd, and the heart-centered practices that shape our way of being.

What you'll experience:

  • Meeting the unique personalities and stories of each horse in our care

  • Learning to move confidently and safely in their presence—on the ground, through gates, and within herd spaces

  • The art of mucking, grooming, and engaging in the daily rhythms of tending

  • Observing herd dynamics, energy, and the subtle language of equine connection

  • Cultivating mutual respect, mindfulness, and awareness around horses

  • Stepping into the role of steward with reverence and real-world skills

This clinic is more than just chores—it's an invitation to slow down, listen deeply and build the confidence to be around horses in a way that honors their world and welcomes you into it.

WHAT WILL THE CLINIC BE?
A structured program in Emotional Horsemanship, a horse training method using science, empathy, and feel to create emotionally balanced horses.  Specializing in creating connection, communication, and clarity with recreational equestrians and their personal horses.  

A 'Tasting Menu' of the various techniques Emotional Horsemanship can offer, taught in a slow, safe, and patient manner. 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Participants of this clinic are members of the Horse & Heart Ranch community already.  Auditors warmly welcome to audit the group clinic. Horse & Heart is a 501c3 charitable organization. Your ticket includes a donation to their organization plus Lockie's fee.
