About Natural Horsemanship

Natural Horsemanship teaches the human rather than the horse. Under the guidance of our highly trained Horse and Heart team, horse lovers of all levels and disciplines work with the horse to achieve success without force, partnership without dominance, teamwork without fear, willingness without intimidation, and harmony without coercion. By learning about your relationship with the horse, you will learn about every other relationship in your life.

It’s more than just about the horse, it really dips into the personal development side of things. You learn about yourself, you learn about communication, about leadership, about truthfulness, about consequence and responsibility. You learn about love and imagination. The horse becomes the animal that tells you the truth about yourself in all these categories.

About Equine Experiential Learning (EEL)

What is EEL (or EFEL)?

Equine Experiential Learning (EEL) and Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning (EFEL) are experiential processes for growth, transformation and personal development. These processes are facilitated with Equines out in Nature awakening the senses and exposing our emotional and sensory experiences as important data. Listening to our own bodies’ wisdom and the messages behind our emotions are keys to our success in healing. These revelatory processes draw our attention to patterns and modes of operation that can be altered and healed allowing us to grow and live a more vital integrated life.

Who benefits? (We all do!)

Individuals, couples, families, and small groups. In fact, anyone in transition, seeking personal growth. Leadership training, relationship and communication skills development, conflict resolution, boundaries awareness training, vision statement work, vision quest journey work are just a few areas of exploration.

What are the benefits?

Through expertly designed activities and experiences, students deepen their awareness of the wisdom of the body, personal beliefs, strengths, and challenges. This awareness profoundly influences their ability to reach forward. EEL is a natural and integral way to let go of simply surviving and to move forward into understanding our gifts and our hearts’ desires!

EEL allows you to explore:

• Emotional agility and cultivating emotional intelligence.
• Distinguish between the false self or inner critic, and the authentic self.
• Cultivate socio-sensual awareness
• Create clear intention and boundaries
• Identify limiting patterns and beliefs
• Cultivate authentic community building skills
• Acknowledge and honor your creative, artistic, intuitive self and the wisdom of the body
• Commune and reflect with horses and one another

Previous experience with horses is not necessary. Horse professionals, novice riders, and people who have no experience with horses can all benefit from this work! This work complements Natural Horsemanship and other “riding” Equine disciplines.
